Did You Know?

Many furniture stores claim to offer "custom" designs - but what they really offer are various sizes and finishes on standard pieces. When we say "custom", we mean it! Your CK Valenti Designs creation will fit your needs and your space exactly, with no compromise on size, finish, or quality.

EDUCATION CORNER

The Custom Design Process

Each project we undertake is different, but we follow the same design process for each project. Our process was created to ensure we gather all the right information and have clear communication with our customers while we're designing their project. Some customers come to us with a specific design in mind, while others only have an idea. We're happy to build something already designed, or create an original design based on the customer's needs. Although all the steps in the process are valuable, one of the steps we find particularly helpful is the 3D rendering (computer drawing). Being able to put a drawing in front of a customer that shows clearly what their end product will look like is extremely beneficial in ensuring they'll like the end product. Plus, it is far less costly to make design changes to a drawing than have to "fix" something when a piece has already been built and/or installed!

The following is our process for new projects:

1. DISCUSS DESIGN & BUDGET. The design discussion can start with a photo, sketch, or just an idea. We ask for an idea of the budget up front because budget can impact the design and the materials chosen.
2. SURVEY THE SITE. Seeing the location where the finished piece will live helps us with the design and allows us to understand any project challenges.
