Did You Know?

Even with the major advancements of spray finish companies in eliminating harmful VOC's from their products, a spray booth is still the best way to ensure that air in a workshop environment stays clean. In addition, a spray booth is the best way to eliminate dust from your finished product.

Tip of the Month

If you're using spray paint for a small do-it-yourself project, create a smaller scale "spray booth" by turning a cardboard box on its side and placing your project inside while spraying.

CKV Spraybooth

It has been a month of research and internal improvements at CK Valenti Designs. Our featured project this month is just one effort currently in progress: the on-going construction of our new (new to us) spray booth within our workshop. This booth has been quite the recycling effort! Almost 1,000 square feet of steel, we purchased it from a seller in Phoenix - his only stipulation: we had to disassemble it and transport it to our shop. Read more >

Spray Booth 101

What is a spray booth?: A spray booth is a partially- or fully-enclosed structure with a ventilation system, in which spray finishes can be applied.

How does a spray booth work?: A spray booth collects fumes and solids from spray finishes. This is achieved with a filtering system where fresh air is drawn in through intake filters and spray particles are captured by exhaust filters. Read more >
